E&E Custom Renovation

A Construction Company That Would Rather Explain Than Improvise

Construction projects go wrong in predictable ways. The scope was never written down properly, so the budget moves. Nobody checked what was behind the wall, so the schedule moves. The client finds out about a change after it has been made. None of those are construction problems — they are the result of starting work before the thinking was finished.

E&E Custom Renovation works the other way around. Before any work starts, whether that’s breaking ground on a new build or opening up a wall, you have a written scope with the materials and allowances in it, and a dedicated project manager accountable for the whole job, backed by our full team. That is not a slower way to build; it is the only way to give a date and keep it.

What We Build

Residential and Commercial Construction, Built to One Standard

As a full-service general contracting company, we take on everything from a single room to a ground-up build, for homeowners and businesses. Every job  runs the same way: a dedicated project manager, our own crews working alongside licensed trades, and the same standard of finish whether it’s a kitchen, a new home or a commercial tenant improvement.

Residential

New Builds

Custom homes built from the ground up, with our project team managing every trade from foundation to final walk-through.

Residential

Remodeling

Kitchens, bathrooms, interiors and garage conversions, planned as one project so the layout, finishes and the work behind the walls all line up.

Residential

Additions

ADUs, JADUs and full-space additions that join the old house to the new, so the roofline, floors and finishes read as one home. More space, more possibility.

Residential

Complete Backyard Renovations

Patios and decks, outdoor kitchens, landscaping and irrigation, retaining walls, fences and gates. One team for the whole backyard.

Residential & Commercial

Custom Work

Built-ins, millwork, specialty finishes and one-of-a-kind features, built around your vision rather than bought off the shelf.

Commercial

Commercial Tenant Improvements

Offices, lobbies and retail space built out to the lease, the landlord’s requirements, and a business that has to keep running

Commercial

Commercial Construction

Ground-up builds, shell work and major remodels for commercial property, managed by our general contracting team from permit to final inspection.

Why E&E

Finish Work Is the Part Everyone Lives With

Anyone can hang drywall. The difference between a project that looks good for a month  and one that still looks right in ten years is in the parts most people never think to ask about: how square the openings are, whether the tile layout was planned from the centre or started from a corner, whether the trim scribes to an out-of-plumb wall or leaves a gap filled with caulk.

That’s the work we care about, and it’s why our team runs every project (new build, remodel or commercial space) as the single company responsible for all of it. We’d rather build every project properly than rush any of them.

What that means on your job

A written scope before any work begins

A dedicated project manager from first visit to final walk-through

Dust containment and a clean site at the end of every day

Allowances stated in writing, so a change order is never a surprise

Licensed trades for electrical, plumbing and mechanical work

A punch list written with you, not handed to you

Permits, inspections and every trade coordinated by our in-house project team

How We Work

Four Stages, and You Know Where You Are in All of Them

Most construction horror stories are communication failures rather than building failures. This is the sequence we run, and it is the same on a single bathroom as on a new build or a commercial space.

01

Consultation

We walk the property or site with you, listen to what you actually want from it, and tell you honestly what is straightforward and what is not. No charge and no obligation.

02

Design & Estimate

You get a written scope with materials, finishes and allowances itemised, so you can see what you are paying for and compare it fairly against any other bid.

03

Build

A dedicated project manager leads the whole job, supported by our site crew. Site protection goes up before work starts, the site is cleared at the end of each day, and you get a weekly update on where we are.

04

Walk-Through

We go through the finished work with you and write the punch list together. Nothing is called complete because we say it is complete.

Completed Project

Commercial Lobby Build-Out

A reception that had to look finished from the parking lot

Large-format marble-look porcelain laid wall to wall with the pattern planned so the grout lines run clean to the entrance doors, a black slatted feature wall behind the desk, and a custom reception counter in quartz with a recessed black plinth. Lighting was reworked to a warm pendant run over the counter against the cooler ceiling grid, which is what makes the desk read as the focal point rather than just the biggest object in the room.

The consultation is free, it happens at the property, and you get an honest answer about what is straightforward and what is not — including when the thing you are asking for is not worth doing.

Questions

Before You Call

How much will my project cost?

Honestly, nobody can tell you from a phone call, and a contractor who gives you a number over the phone is guessing. Cost depends on the size and scope of the project, the condition of what’s behind the walls, the plans and the lot for a new build, the finishes you choose and how much of the mechanical work has to be redone. The consultation and the written estimate are free, and the estimate itemizes materials, labor and allowances so you can see where the money goes.

A bathroom is usually a few weeks; a kitchen longer because of cabinet lead times, which are often the real constraint rather than the labor; a new build or commercial tenant improvement runs in months, depending on plans, permitting and material lead times. We give you a schedule with the written scope, and we tell you up front which dates depend on lead times we don’t control.

Yes. As your general contractor, we handle the permitting for your project and coordinate with the local jurisdiction, so the necessary permits are in place before work begins.

Yes. E&E Custom Renovation is a licensed California general contracting company (License #1160867), fully insured and bonded, with licensed trades handling all electrical, plumbing and mechanical work.

Often yes, depending on the scope. A single bathroom or a basement is usually liveable around. A kitchen means no kitchen for the duration, and and a large-scale remodel may mean moving out for part of it.

Yes. We’re a full-service general contracting firm for commercial work as well as residential, including tenant improvements, office and retail build-outs, and commercial construction. We schedule around lease dates, landlord requirements and business hours so you can keep operating wherever possible.
